We are an enthusiastic scale-up company looking for a skilled medior/senior software engineer to to strengthen and expand our development team. We need someone who can see the bigger picture but isn’t afraid to dive into the nitty-gritty details of our frameworks. Our mission is to create innovative, socially-driven solutions that have a positive impact on the world, delivering high-quality applications for our users.

🎯   Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer at Helpper, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our applications and infrastructure. You will collaborate with our team to design and implement new features. We expect you to have experience with various technologies such as TypeScript, Java, and Docker. Ideally, you’re comfortable working on software infrastructure to improve security, performance, and other technical aspects. You’re curious, eager to learn, and thrive in a service-driven company where IT is the backbone of everything we do. We don’t believe in a “come-code and go” mentality – we value a team-driven, caring work environment where you can grow your skills.

🛠️  Requirements and Qualifications

 Experience working in a project and team-based environment
 
 Required Experience (Must-Have)
In order of importance:
 
 Solid knowledge of software infrastructure (e.g., Docker orchestration)
  Exposure to AWS
  Strong knowledge of any JVM language (Java, Kotlin)
  Familiarity with Java frameworks like Spring or Quarkus
  Understanding of SQL, especially MySQL or PostgreSQL
  Experience with React and TypeScript
  Familiarity with NodeJS
  Experience with Git

 Bonus round (Nice-to-Have)

 Understanding of agile methodologies
 Knowledge of the Quarkus framework
 Experience with React Native
 Affinity for unconventional languages or coding methodologies
